Tips For a Quicker Killer Summer Body

Short-circuit your routine

Blast fat with a circuit that includes strength training and cardio moves: Do a set of squats, jump rope for a minute, do a set of push ups, jump rope again; continue to alternate strength and cardio. You will be keeping your heart rate high while building muscle at the same time. I always train my clients this this!

Make time for it!

I don't care how hectic and busy your life gets, you make time for what you want. You MUST make time for working out, even if it's just 20-30 minutes, get it in! Wake up a little earlier, or get some fresh air over lunch, always have your gym bag ready to go in your car. Three to four times per week would be ideal. If you want it bad enough, you WILL prioritize!

Mix it up!

Always mix up your work outs. Switch up the reps, go higher or lower with the weights, perform it faster, or slower. Always trick your body by doing something different so it doesn't get use to doing the same exercises over and over again. This will help you get over a plateau..switch it up!!

Do sprints!

Many women tend to do slow, long duration of cardio for hours at a time!! Too much cardio isn't good, you could be burning muscle instead of fat! You need to burn the fat and keep the muscle! Instead of a slower, longer cardio session, do sprints! Try 8-10 20-30 second quick all out sprints and cut your cardio time down tremendously as well as burn more fat!

Ex out refined carbs

Out: Processed foods, most breads, cookies, chocolate, white rice, nearly every cereal, and anything with corn syrup or sugar. As soon as you eat a refined carb, it starts to spike your blood sugar, which produces excess insulin, a hormone that can be responsible for holding on to fat!

Eat five times a day

That means three meals and two snacks: one between breakfast and lunch, and one between lunch and dinner. You will have steady energy throughout day without having hunger pangs later. Less food more often, you will feel full while eating less calories you would by not eating and binging later. Not to mention your metabolism will sky rocket by feeding it constantly!

Cook!

Meal prepping/planning will go such a long way! Not only will it save you money, but it will save you tons of calories as well. By cooking yourself, you know exactly what is going into the food. Save left-overs for later and pack it up for lunch at work instead of going out to eat to a fatty meal that will have you feeling so guilty the rest of the day. If you don't have time to cook, I would suggest using a meal prep company. My favorite is Prep Plus Meals, which is a meal company that provides tasty, all organic meals for your convenience! The nutrition information is available not to me toon the prices are affordable as well!

Limit your liquids

Ditch juices, vanilla lattes, and sodas--all have unneeded sugar and calories. Intake your calories through food and not drinks! many drinks are just waste less calories. If you're thirsty, drink water. If you need a little caffeine boost, drink black coffee. If you need to take the edge off, choose a simple shot or have it on the rocks or anything non-mixed. In other words, no margaritas or mojitos!!
